Consecrated Wealth Amulet or Gau (Reliquary) with Relics
Very rare, sealed wealth amulet box (gau) reliquary; with the front being a
highly detailed sculpture of a Dzambhala figure, showing attendants and
various Buddhist symbols, and descriptive Tibetan text at bottom ("chos.sku
(bte?) hchad bzad mdog dpal" which could in theory be translated as, "The
inherent good fortune of the Dharmakaya is never exhausted"; and a double-
dorje with mantric syllables, "Om, Ah, Hum, Hri" and terma markings verso.
Two rings on side for suspension. The box contains relics of some kind and
completely sealed around the perimeter with pitch and crimped bezel, so
contents remain un-inspected. Bronze (with silver wash?) front, with copper
sides and back.
